Digital health mix and match for individualised diabetes care to improve outcomes
24 February 2023, 15:00–16:30 CET, Hall A6+7
Although diabetes technology has evolved tremendously over the past century, many people with diabetes are still not reaching their individual glycaemic target.
In this symposium, the Chair, Thomas Danne (Germany), will review the evolution in diabetes technology and give an overview of digital heath solutions currently available for managing type 1 diabetes. The expert panel will then address some of the key challenges for people with diabetes, and the potential benefits of digital health solutions and novel insulins using presentations guided by case studies, giving the onsite and online audience members the opportunity to interact, ask questions and comment. Julia Mader (Austria) will present scientific data to showcase how digital health solutions may address the unmet needs for people with type 1 diabetes using a case study, while Partha Kar (UK) will use a case study to tackle the subject of digital health solutions and unmet needs in type 2 diabetes. Finally, Tadej Battelino (Slovenia) will consider the nuances of type 2 diabetes management and showcase concepts for selecting customised treatments for individualised type 2 diabetes care.
On behalf of the Chair and faculty, we hope you can join us on 24 February 2023, at 15:00–16:30 CET onsite or online for an engaging session.
